Branches Preschool has been such a great experience for my three year old son. I was a little worried about him starting preschool so young as he had just turned three, and he did have some separation issues at the beginning. Miss Alisha could not have been sweeter or helped us both through it any better. By day 3 or 4 he couldn’t WAIT to get to preschool! Her Reggio Emilia inspired, play-based approach to learning is truly wonderful and her attitude towards the kids and parents is so encouraging. I think I would speak for all the parents to say that she makes each and every child feel special, loved and supported in the individual ways that they need. The small class sizes allow for a comfortable, personal atmosphere, and for me, took the stress out of separating from my child for the first time. There is never a lack of energy or effort to what the kids do on a daily basis. Monthly field trips to exciting new places, colour days where the kids can get all dressed up, holiday parties, and “Special Helper” opportunities are just a few of the extra, above-and-beyond things that Alisha encorporates to keep the kids engaged. Her way with the children is awe-inspiring… She is so gentle with them, but firm in her expectations of them in a way that allows them to grow and learn tremendously. The children all display so much love and genuine respect for their teacher. In just a few short months I have watched my child grow and blossom at Branches Preschool. Making new friends, exploring new ideas, textures, books, and art mediums (I now have a wall FULL of amazing art!), and just gaining independance, has been truly awesome for my boy. I would recommend this preschool to anyone who is looking for a very special experience for their child. So glad we have two more years at Branches!

I absolutely love Branches Preschool! My daughter attended a 3 year old preschool program at a different preschool that had 20 children in the class. The large class environment did not work for her. I decided that my daughter needed a smaller class to flourish and help with her speech development. Upon many recommendations from friends about Braches we decided to make the change. Once we made the change, her speech has improved so much and Alisha has had such an important role in this. Her care, dedication and laughter is so appreciated. Alisha genuinely cares about the children and takes such pride on running such great classes. She takes time to really get to know the children and has incredible patience. I love that not all art pieces look the same and Alisha encourages the children to be creative without everything looking like a carbon copy. To teach them that being different and appreciate uniqueness is so appreciated. My daughter absolutely loves it and is looking forward to attending the Junior Kindergarten program!

When searching for a preschool close to home for my son, I came across several choices. Branches Preschool, however, stood out for me. In researching all of my options, I heard from so many neighbours and community members how wonderful Miss Alisha is, and how their own children loved attending preschool with her. They were right! Branches is such an open, inviting, caring environment. Alisha connects with the children, and having a smaller class size helps with the constant one on one interaction, as well as allowing the children to comfortably integrate into a social group that isn’t overwhelming in size. My son was enrolled in the 3 yr old preschool class and then the 4 yr old Jr. Kindergarten class. He thrived at Branches and it was an easy step for him to begin full day kindergarten after having had these experiences.

Alisha made learning FUN! I think for all of our children, a positive first experience in learning, helps to set them up for a future of positive academic endeavours. I’m am truly thankful to have had the opportunity for my child to attend Branches, and would recommend Alisha and her program to anyone who asks.

Enrolling our daughter in Branches Preschool has been the easiest childcare decision we have had to make thus far. Miss Alisha came very highly recommended from other neighbourhood parents and we could easily see why. We were also excited about the smaller class size as we felt it would give our daughter a better opportunity to really participate as opposed to just being present. Miss Alicia is not only a kind and warm teacher, but extremely devoted to the children in the program. She has always gone above and beyond with keeping us informed about our daughter’s progress and always makes us feel welcome when we have a question or concern. The program itself is FABULOUS! We have been so impressed with not only how much fun our girl has at school but how much she has learned over the past two years. We will be so sad to have to move on to the “big school” but are eager for our son to start and become a part of the Branches Preschool family.

I truly believe that all things come into your life for a reason. Miss Alisha and Branches Preschool have been an integral part of our families’ life over the past two years. Our family cannot begin to express our gratitude for all of her hard work, effort, love and dedication that she has shown our children. Miss Alisha offers a “home” for our children to grow, learn, and develop their early learning and social skills. She does an exceptional job engaging her students and challenging them to become the best children that they can be. It was important for our family to find a preschool that would offer a non-institutional like environment, as we believe that children have the opportunity to experience that for many years to come. It was vital that we found a school, where kids were encouraged to be kids, to explore, to experiment, to learn and to create lifelong friendships.
